Acupuncture | Add Cupping
$130 |approx. 80 mins

Origins: Cupping is an ancient Chinese technique to draw out toxins. It is a non-evasive, therapeutic and highly detoxifying treatment.

Goods: Cupping is an immune booster, it aids in digestion and it is also very effective to treat pain. Cupping is great for fighting the cold and flu.

Method: Suction cups are placed on certain areas of the body and left in place for approx. 20 minutes. Acupuncture will take place before or after the cupping portion of this treatment.

Side effects: Pain relief,  decongestion and relaxation.  Small round "hicky" marks where the suction took place which usually lasts a week.

Illya is a gifted practitioner. I enjoy feeling an immediate state of relaxation following one of his unique treatments.

Tui Na Massage

Acupuncture | Add Tui Na
$180 | approx. 1.5 hours

Origins: Tui Na (twee-nah) is an ancient Chinese deep tissue massage focusing on meridians and acu-points.

Goods: Tui Na massage is also an immune booster, and it is very effective to treat pain and invigorate and open up the meridians and collaterals.

Method: Deep massage using elbow, forearm and hands and specialized techniques along the meridians. Acupuncture will be performed before or after the massage portion of Tui Na massage.

Side effects: Immediate relaxation and pain relief.  In rare cases where pain has been chronic, symptoms may worsen before they get better (also known as a 'healing crisis' triggered by the treatment). Don't worry - this means that the body is beginning to heal itself but a series of treatments may be needed.

I was at the point where I could barely make it out of bed in the morning and throughout the day was in constant pain. I started seeing Illya for acupuncture and Tui Na massage and the improvement after each session was absolutely amazing. I am back to running and most importantly, I can pick my nephew up again!
